Leadership is seen in deep care and a mission that moves the group forward.  We are celebrating this month as we think about the many who are living with mass amounts of influence at Crossroads.  The beauty of influence as Christ followers is that Jesus tells us to glorify Him, making Him known to our world.  It’s fun to watch so many of you recognize your God-given leadership and live it out on a daily basis with your spouse, children, and community.  God is at work in and among us.

We have lots going on in the next few weeks leading to summer break.  Be sure to read below all of the exciting things happening in Student Ministries.

On a personal note, thank you so much for your prayers throughout my recovery from surgery.  It has meant so much to Laurie and I to be loved on by our church family.  I am getting better every day.  God is good.

Grace & Peace,

Senior Recognition Sunday
May 20, 9:00am & 10:45am

This Sunday we have the privilege of honoring our high school graduates in both Gatherings.  It’s a powerful time of sharing their accomplishments with the church body, as well as affirming, blessing, and praying for them.  Families please join them for this time.  Between the two services we will meet by the Ramada for pictures.

May 20, 8:30-10:30am, Youth Center

Our last Ignite of the semester is this Sunday.  We will not have small groups, but will instead go throughout campus to serve in different ways.  This is a powerful way of allowing our students to experience the beauty of using their God-given gifts to serve the church and glorify God.  If your student didn’t sign up, they can show up early and we will find them a place.

May 25-28, Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego

Our last Elevate practices will take place May 20 between 1:00-6:00pm.  Coaches have communicated via text to students about the practices. Practices are also listed on the communication chalk wall in YC.

Mark your calendar for the mandatory parent & student meeting next Wednesday, May 23 from 8:15-8:45pm, after Fuse. We will go over trip expectations, the itinerary, and the packing list for our weekend to San Diego.  We are so excited.

OUR MISSION is to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love The World.

“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” – Matthew 22:37-40

“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” – Matthew 28:19-20

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35

OUR VISION is to lead people into a life that is completely connected; firmly rooted in our love for God and fully expressed through our love for others. This is lived out in relationships as we Gather, Grow, & Go.
