Dear Crossroads Family,

Please join me in welcoming Melissa Rightmire as our newest member of the pastoral team at Crossroads, serving as our Prayer Ministries Pastor.

Melissa is a district licensed pastor in the Church of the Nazarene and is working toward ordination. She and her husband, Mike, have been active and engaged volunteers at Crossroads from the moment they began attending.

One of the recommendations coming out of our recent church survey was to place more emphasis on prayer. I can’t think of a better way to do this than to have Melissa join our team and lead this effort. She has a tremendous heart and passion for prayer, and specifically for the prayer ministry of this church. She is also gifted in the area of organization and administration.

Some might ask,“How can we do this when our finances are tight?” Good question. Here is my answer. We can’t, but God is gracious, and Melissa is very generous.

We will officially install Melissa as our Prayer Ministries Pastor this Sunday, in both morning Gatherings. Let’s support Melissa with our prayers and engagement as she serves Crossroads.

TONIGHT is the closing night for our VBSAMPED.”  It’s been all that and more!  Kudos to Pastor Heidi and the many, many incredible volunteers. Well done.

THIS SUNDAY, June 10, I will begin our Summer Teaching Series: Super Powers.  This series will focus on Galatians 5:22-23 which talks about the Fruit of the Spirit. I’m not sure you’ve ever thought of the Fruit of the Spirit in this way.

I believe the summer will be spiritually transforming for all of us and I’m excited about what God is going to do in us and through us, individually, and as a church.

You are loved,

Crossroads Nazarene Church

OUR MISSION is to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love The World.

“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” – Matthew 22:37-40

“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” – Matthew 28:19-20

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35

OUR VISION is to lead people into a life that is completely connected; firmly rooted in our love for God and fully expressed through our love for others. This is lived out in relationships as we Gather, Grow, & Go.
