This year Team World Vision will once again be hosting a Global 6k for water. Thousands of people from all over the globe will be participating on May 19 in an effort to end the water crisis. For those of us in the East Valley, Russ Funk will be hosting our event. The entry fee to this event is $50 and will provide one person with clean water that lasts. In fact, you will receive a race bib featuring a picture of the child you are bring clean water to. Click here for more information or to register.
Hey CrossRoads!
Thank you Kristen for sharing the news about World Vision’s Global 6k! Pam and I can’t wait to move our feet together with you on May 19th at Carriage Lane Park in Mesa!
We wanted to share a few key points to remember:
Why a 6k? A 6k is the average distance a woman or child walks to collect water from their family. By registering for the 6k, we can move our feet here and end their walk on the other side of the planet.
How?? Your $50 registration is actually a tax deductible donation that is connected to the child on your race bib. (Children under 18 = $25)
Child on your race bib? That’s right, you are going to receive a race bib with a picture of the actual child who’s life will be forever changed by access to clean water. You’ll also get a cool t-shirt and a medal, but this is truly the race with the bib that matters most!

OUR MISSION is to Love God, Love Each Other, and Love The World.
“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” – Matthew 22:37-40
“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” – Matthew 28:19-20
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35
OUR VISION is to lead people into a life that is completely connected; firmly rooted in our love for God and fully expressed through our love for others. This is lived out in relationships as we Gather, Grow, & Go.
