Ladies, there are washable and reusable pads on amazon.com that will work, as well. I searched “luna pads” and several types came up. After checking with our contacts in Kenya, we were told they are a great option because they are reusable, a long-term solution with little waste. Also, we currently have a lady who is looking into the possibility of making these type of reusable pads. Exciting possibilities!

In May of 2012, The Mercy Project committed to help victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Kenya. Our goal is to help provide 1) Training, 2)Counseling, 3)Centralized Delivery System (Gender Based Violence Resource Center in Partnership with UNICEF and the International Rescue Committee), 4) Sustainable Agriculture, and 5)Family reunification.
